Loew named ECAC All-Star

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Junior forward Seth Loew (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) earned his second postseason honor in the less than a week when he was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Men's Soccer All-Star First Team on Tuesday afternoon.

The 2014 Presidents' Athletic Conference Player of the Year and a three-time All-PAC First Team selection, Loew led the conference with 10 goals and 29 points while ranking second in the league with a team-best nine assists. He also was tops in goals (7), assists (4) and points (18) in league games.

Loew's 29 points are the seventh-highest single-season total in program history and also mark the highest offensive output by a Grove City player since two-time conference MVP Bob McNees recorded 35 in the 2006 season. Through his junior year, Loew is tied for third in program history with 15 assists, tied for fifth in career points (65) and tied for eighth in career goals (25).

Last week, Loew became the first Grove City College men's soccer player in 28 years to earn NSCAA First Team All-Region honors. He also was a Third Team All-Region honoree in 2013.

Grove City finished the 2014 season with a 12-8-1 overall record and a 6-2 record in PAC play. The team advanced to the conference championship match for the first time since 2005 and earned an ECAC Division III South tournament berth for the first time since 2011.
