Slippery Rock 1, Grove City 0


October 27, 1998--The Grove City College men's soccer team had its five-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday in a 1-0 loss at the home of NCAA Division II rival Slippery Rock University.

The Rock, who outshot the Wolverines 14-11, netted the game's lone goal on a loose ball in front of the net midway through the second half.

Grove City freshman goalkeeper Mario Ambrosia (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon Catholic) was credited with seven saves.

The Wolverines, 11-7 overall, close their regular-season slate on Saturday at home against Frostburg State University.  Slippery Rock improved to 7-9 overall.
