Point Park 2, Grove City 0

September 5, 1998--Grove City lost more than a game Saturday as senior goalkeeper Dave Paterline (Irwin, PA/Penn Trafford) broke his leg with 27 seconds left in regulation.  The Wolverines fell to 0-2 on the season, losing to visiting Point Park, 2-0.

Paterline, a four-year starer and two-time PAC all-star, was credited with 11 saves before suffering the season-ending injury. 

Point Park, who improved to 2-0, scored both goals in the first half, one by Marcus Lona, the other on a penalty kick by Chris Hen.

The Wolverines outshot the Pioneers, 14-12.

Grove City hosts Pitt-Greensburg Wednesday, September 9, at 4:00 p.m.
