Grove City 3, Pitt-Bradford 1


September 25, 1998--The Grove City College men's soccer team defeated Pitt-Bradford College, 3-1, Friday afternoon in Bradford, PA.

The Wolverines filled the net three times in first half with sophomore Steve Harley (Collegeville, PA/Methacton) opening the scoring off a pass from freshman Brian Williams (Charlotte, NC/First Assembly).  The goal marked Harley's third of the season.   Freshman Mike Bluman (Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) netted his first collegiate goal on a penalty kick, and freshman Sam Coffman (Scottdale, PA/Southmoreland) chipped in with an unassisted goal, his first of the year.

Grove City out-shot Pitt-Bradford, 22-2.

The Wolverines (5-4), winners of four of their last five, host Carnegie Mellon next Tuesday, September 29, at 4:00 p.m.
