GCC Blanks Thiel, 1-0 GROVE CITY, PA, October 1, 1999--The Grove City College men's soccer team reversed a three-game winless streak Friday, shutting out visiting Thiel College 1-0 without surrendering a shot on goal. Cory Nordman (St. Charles, IL/New Fairfield) registered the game's only tally in the 17th minute off a pass from Brian Williams (Charlotte, NC/First Assembly). It marked Nordman's second goal of the year and Williams' fourth assist. Grove City outshot Thiel, 18-0. The Wolverines improved to 5-4-1 overall and 2-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference, while the Tomcats fell to 0-12, 0-2 in the PAC. |
