Grove City falls at Westminster
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team dropped a 123-82 decision at Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Westminster Wednesday night in both teams' PAC opener.
Senior Drew McKelvy (Portersville, Pa./Jubilee Christian) won both the 100 (49.79 seconds) and 200 freestyle (1:48.34) to lead Grove City (2-2) while senior Matt Gibson (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) won the 50 free. Gibson also took third in the 100 free.
Junior Matt Trollinger (Damascus, Md./New Life Christian) took second in the 200 butterfly (2:13.91). Freshman Jason Amos (Westminster, Md./Carroll Christian) finished second in the 200 backstroke (2:06.58).
Grove City returns to action Dec. 5-6, when the Wolverines host the James E. Longnecker Invitational.
