Wolverines 3rd after first night of Invitational

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team is in third place out of eight after the first night of action at the seventh annual James E. Longnecker Invitational Friday night at Grove City College Pool.

Grove City has 184 team points, trailing just Carnegie Mellon (274.5) and Gannon (188.5).

Senior Drew McKelvy (Portersville, Pa./Jubilee Christian) led Grove City with a fourth-place finish in the 200 individual medley, turning in a time of 2:03.08. 

Grove City's 200 free relay quartet opened the meet with a fourth-place finish. The combination of McKelvy, Jeff Wenger (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover), Ryan McCracken (Dallastown, Pa./Dallastown) and Matt Gibson (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) posted a time of 1:30.84.
