Grove City makes it 54 straight

CALIFORNIA, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team clinched its 54th straight winning season Friday night with a 116-86 win over NCAA Division II Salem International (W. Va.) at California University of Pennsylvania.

Freshman Caleb Courage (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) picked up a pair of wins for Grove City (5-2) while classmate Jeremy Harbaugh (South Park, Pa./South Park) won the 400 individual medley (4:33.39). Courage remained undefeated in the 50 free this season, posting a victorious time of 21.75 seconds. Courage also won the 100 back in 57.98.

Grove City wrapped up the meet by winning the 200 free relay. Courage, senior Matt Trollinger (Damascus, Md./New Life Christian), junior Jeremiah Roberts (Butler, Pa./Knoch) and freshman Jared Niehenke (Home, Pa./Marion Center) combined to post a victorious time of 1:35.32.

The Wolverines will close the dual-meet portion of the season Saturday afternoon at home against Penn State Behrend at 1 p.m.
