Courage earns All-American status in 200 free

HOLLAND, Mich. -- Grove City College freshman Caleb Courage (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) became Grove City's 46th all-time men's swimming and diving All-American Friday night at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the Holland Aquatic Center, hosted by Hope College.

Courage placed seventh in the 200 freestyle consolation finals Friday night with a time of 1:43.86, placing him 15th in the event. The top 16 finishers earn All-America status.

Courage finished 15th in the 200 during Friday morning's preliminaries, posting a time of 1:42.74. 

Thursday night, Grove City junior Ben Haring (Kenai, Alaska/Kenai Central) became Grove City's 45th all-time All-American by taking 16th in the 50 freestyle. Haring also competed in the 200 free Friday morning and placed 42nd with a mark of 1:49.84.

Courage and Haring will each swim in the 100 freestyle Saturday.
