Westminster tops Grove City
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team dropped to 8-2 overall and 2-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference with a 152-102 setback at conference rival Westminster Tuesday night. The defeat snaps Grove City's eight-meet win streak.
Junior Tim Whitbeck (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown) earned Grove City's lone win. Whitbeck captured the 50 free in 20.84 seconds.
Freshman Matt Leonard (Lake City, Fla./Homeschooled) took second in the 100 backstroke (56.53) while senior Jeremy Harbaugh (South Park, Pa./South Park) placed second in the 500 (5:02.16).
Grove City will visit Denison Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
