Wolverines win two

BRADFORD, Pa. Ė The Grove City College menís swimming and diving team improved to 11-2 Friday night by sweeping host Pitt-Bradford and Penn State Behrend in a double dual meet. The Wolverines recorded a 57-37 win over Behrend and also downed Pitt-Bradford, 82-13.

Senior Caleb Courage (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) won two events for Grove City. He won the 50 free in 21.27 seconds, then won the 100 backstroke in 52.99.

Junior Lincoln Larsen (Federal Way, Wash./Tacoma Baptist) won the 400 individual medley in 4:47.40 while senior Tim Whitbeck (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown) took the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.65.

Larsen, Courage, sophomore Bennett Keefer (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) and sophomore Jared Bailey (Portsmouth, R.I./Aquidneck Island Christian) capped the meet by winning the 200 free in 1:30.84.

Freshman Collin Foster (Columbus, Ind./Columbus East), freshman Matt Mahan (Butler, Pa./Knoch), senior Nate Brunk (Wyncote, Pa./Cheltenham) and Whitbeck opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay in 1:44.73.

Grove City has now posted 17 seasons of at least 10 wins.
