Wolverines 6th at Kenyon
GAMBIER, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team placed sixth overall at Kenyon College's Total Performance Invitational Saturday night. The Wolverines concluded the three-day event with 335 team points. Penn won the team title with 1,600 points.
Grove City's 200 medley relay team of senior Cam Coppelli (Guys Mills, Pa./Saegertown), junior Clay Beckner (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg), junior Ben Bowser (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) and junior Kirk Gagliardo (Wadsworth, Ill./Warren Township) captured sixth place with a time of 1 minute, 34.10 seconds.
Bowser took seventh in the 100 butterfly (52.05) while Gagliardo garnered seventh in the 100 free with a time of 46.38. Beckner took eighth in the 200 breaststroke in 2:08.14.
Grove City will host Hiram Saturday, December 11, at 1 p.m.
