GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team dropped its dual meet opener for the 2012-13 season Saturday afternoon as visiting Allegheny claimed a 170-124 win over the Wolverines at the James E. Longnecker Pool.

Three Grove City performers captured individual wins Saturday. Sophomore Richie Klimek (Oakdale, Pa./South Fayette) won 3-meter diving with a total score of 219.15 points.

Senior Eric Fairchild (Corry, Pa./Corry) helped lead the Wolverines in the swimming events by winning the 200 free in 1 minute, 45.99 seconds. Sophomore Ben Satre (Hockessin, Del./Homeschooled) won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:06.10.

Grove City will open Presidents' Athletic Conference action next Saturday at Saint Vincent. The dual meet will begin at 1 p.m.
