Grove City competes at Kenyon Invitational

GAMBIER, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team is in fifth place at the six-team Kenyon College Total Performance Invitational after the conclusion of Friday night's finals. The Wolverines have earned 95.5 team points. The University of Pennsylvania leads the three-day event, followed by Kenyon, Carnegie Mellon and Davidson. Lake Erie is in sixth.

Grove City's 200 free relay squad highlighted Friday night's session by taking ninth in a time of 1 minute, 26.52 seconds. Freshman Jordan Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River), junior C.P. Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River), sophomore Caleb McKusick (Waconia, Minn./Homeschooled) and senior Eric Fairchild (Corry, Pa./Corry) combined for that ninth-place finish.

Junior Louis Gabriele (Mahwah, N.J./Don Bosco) took 11th in the 100 breaststroke (59.27) and 14th in the 200 butterfly (1:57.98).

Preliminary action begins Saturday at 10 a.m. with the finals to be held Saturday evening.
