Grove City drops pair

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team opened its home schedule Saturday afternoon by hosting perennial powerhouses Carnegie Mellon and Rochester at James E. Longnecker Pool. Carnegie Mellon came away with a 227-64 win over Grove City and Rochester secured a 168-123 victory.

Junior diver Richie Klimek (Oakdale, Pa./South Fayette) earned two wins for the Wolverines in the meet. He won 1-meter diving with 235.10 points and took 3-meter diving with a score of 201.85 points.

Grove City closed the meet by taking second in the 200 free relay. The quartet of freshman Daniel Peng (Indiana, Pa./Indiana), freshman Drew Nosbisch (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway), junior Caleb McKusick (Waconia, Minn./Homeschooled) and sophomore Jordan Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River) combined for a runner-up time of 1 minute, 28.38 seconds.

Nosbisch also took fourth in the 500 (4:54.27) and freshman Jeremy Kim (Frederick, Md./New Life Christian) earned fourth in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:00.06.

Grove City (2-2) hosts Division II Wheeling Jesuit next Saturday at 1 p.m.
