Grove City whips W&J

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team rolled to a 150-134 victory over visiting Washington & Jefferson Saturday afternoon in a Presidents' Athletic Conference dual meet at the James E. Longnecker Pool.

Senior Louis Gabriele (Mahwah, N.J./Don Bosco) helped lead Grove City in the swimming events by sweeping the breaststroke. He won the 100 breaststroke in 59.27 seconds and took the 200 breast in 2:17.86. Freshman Drew Nosbisch (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) won the 200 free in 1:48.16 and added a second win in the 50 (22.05).

Senior Dave Bossert (Colorado Springs, Colo./Pine Creek) won the 1000 in 10:34.16 while freshman Jeremy Kim (Frederick, Md./New Life Christian) prevailed in the 200 butterfly (2:02.76).

Sophomore Jim Bossert (Colorado Springs, Colo./Pine Creek), Nosbisch, junior Ben Satre (Hockessin, Del./Homeschooled) and sophomore Jordan Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River) opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay in 1:39.85.

Gabriele also posted the top time in the 100 butterfly (53.58) on an exhibition basis. Kim touched first in the 500 (5:03.77) while Nosbisch touched first in the 200 individual medley (2:03.13).

Junior Caleb McKusick (Waconia, Minn./Homeschooled), freshman Jake Marino (Irwin, Pa./Penn Trafford), senior C.P. Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River) and Jordan Dehli posted an exhibition time of 1:29.66 in the 200 free relay.

Junior diver Richie Klimek (Oakdale, Pa./South Fayette) swept the diving events for Grove City (3-6, 2-0 PAC). He won 1-meter diving with 264.50 points and took 3-meter competition with a score of 192.00 points.

Grove City visits national powerhouse Denison next Saturday at 1 p.m.
