Wolverines compete at CMU

PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team competed in a tri-meet Saturday afternoon at Carnegie Mellon against the host Tartans and Rochester in non-conference action. CMU earned a 232-62 win while Rochester prevailed, 182-98.

Senior diver Richie Klimek (Oakdale, Pa./South Fayette) led Grove City by sweeping diving. Klimek won 1-meter diving with a score of 303.90 points, then prevailed on the 3-meter board with a winning total of 326.05.

Sophomore Jeremy Kim (Frederick, Md./New Life Christian) took third in the 1000 with a time of 10 minutes, 27.64 seconds. Freshman Brett Gwynn (Irwin, Pa./Hempfield) placed fourth in the 100 butterfly (54.37).

Grove City (1-3) will host Wheeling Jesuit next Saturday at 1 p.m.
