Wolverines fall to Case Western, Gannon

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving dropped both parts of a double-dual meet on Saturday afternoon in the James E. Longnecker Competition Pool, falling to Case Western 217-75 and to NCAA Division II Gannon 186-101.

The Wolverines closed the day with a strong showing in the 200 free relay, as sophomores Daniel Peng (Indiana, Pa./Indiana), Jake Marino (Irwin, Pa./Penn Trafford) and Drew Nosbisch (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) and senior Caleb McKusick (Waconia, Minn./Homeschooled) took second overall and earned the win against Gannon with a time of 1:28.05.

Nosbisch (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.56) with a win over Case Western while also finishing third overall in both the 1000 free (10:09.07) and the 200 breaststroke (2:17.35).

Senior diver Richie Klimek (Oakdale, Pa./South Fayette) finished second overall and earned wins over Gannon in both diving events, posting a score of209.68 in the 3-meter competition before recording a 203.30 on the 1-meter board. Freshman Brett Gwynn (Irwin, Pa./Hempfield) added a third place finish in the 100 fly (54.72).

Grove City returns to action December 4-6 when they travel to Gambier, Ohio, for the Kenyon College Total Performance Invitational.
