Wolverines compete in Total Performance Invitational

GAMBIER, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team closed the 2014 calendar year by competing in Kenyon College's three-day Total Performance Invitational Thursday-Saturday. The Wolverines finished with 249.5 team points. Penn won the team title with 2,709.5 points.

Grove City's 200 free relay quartet of junior Jordan Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River), sophomore Daniel Peng (Indiana, Pa./Indiana), sophomore Drew Nosbisch (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) and senior Caleb McKusick (Waconia, Minn./Homeschooled) earned 11th in the 200 free relay with a time of 1 minute, 25.94 seconds.

Nosbisch, sophomore Josiah Vehrs (Fresno, Calif./Homeschooled), senior Jim Bossert (Colorado Springs, Colo./Pine Creek) and McKusick combined for 17th place in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:11.58. Peng, Nosbisch, McKusick and sophomore Jake Marino (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) teamed to take 18th in the 200 medley relay (1:36.86).

Marino, Bossert, Nosbisch and McKusick finished 19th in the 400 medley relay (3:35.41).

In 1-meter diving, senior Mac Clyde (Mars, Pa./Mars) finished fifth with 252.85 points. Freshman Samuel Archibald (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) took sixth in 1-meter with 210.07 points.

Grove City returns to action January 10 with a Presidents' Athletic Conference clash at Washington & Jefferson.
