Wolverines top Fredonia State

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team earned a 171-126 victory at Fredonia State in non-conference competition Saturday afternoon.

Sophomores Drew Nosbisch (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) and Jeremy Kim (Frederick, Md./New Life Christian) each secured two individual wins for Grove City (4-5). Nosbisch won the 200 free in 1 minute, 48.25 seconds and later took the 100 butterfly in 53.28 seconds. Kim, meanwhile, won the 1000 (10:28.12) and the 500 (5:06.11) free.

Sophomore Jake Marino (Irwin, Pa./Penn Trafford) won the 100 backstroke in 56.64 seconds while junior Jordan Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River) won the 50 in 22.40 seconds. Senior Jim Bossert (Colorado Springs, Colo./Pine Creek) prevailed in the 200 individual medley (2:03.85).

Marino, Nosbisch, Dehli and sophomore Daniel Peng (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay in 1:40.28. Peng, Dehli, Nosbisch and sophomore Sean McPhillips (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) closed the meet with a winning time of 1:28.76 in the 200 free relay.

Grove City will host Presidents' Athletic Conference rival Westminster January 29 at 6 p.m.
