Grove City falls in clash with Titans
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- In a battle of perennial Presidents' Athletic Conference rivals, the Grove City College men's swimming and diving team fell to the visiting Westminster Titans 190-97 in the James E. Longnecker Competition Pool on Thursday night.
Sophomore Jeremy Kim (Frederick, Md./New Life Christian) was the lone double-winner for the Wolverines (4-6), taking the 200 butterfly in 1:57.72 before edging out Westminster's Mitch Stahara for the 500 free win with a victorious time of 4:51.91. Kim also finished second in the 1000 free in 10:10.94.
Junior Jordan Dehli (Moneta, Va./Staunton River) also added a win for Grove City, claiming the 50 free in 22.02 seconds.
Sophomore Drew Nosbisch (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) recorded second-place finishes in the 200 free (1:46.57) and 100 fly (52.92) while senior Jim Bossert (Colorado Springs, Colo./Pine Creek) took second in the 200 IM (2:04.55).
Senior diver Mac Clyde (Mars, Pa./Mars) added a runner-up finish on the 1-meter board (157.25).
Grove City will host Bethany in Presidents' Athletic Conference action on Saturday at 1 p.m. Prior to the start of the meet, the Wolverines will honor their four seniors: Bossert, Clyde, Richie Klimek (Oakdale, Pa./South Fayette) and Caleb McKusick (Waconia, Minn./Homeschooled).
