Fairmont State 122, Grove City 77


January 26, 1999--Grove City posted two first-place finishes in a 122-77 loss to NCAA Division II Fairmont State.  The Wolverines slipped to 5-5, while the Fighting Falcons upped their mark to 5-2.

Wolverine senior Bob VanderWeele (Corry, PA/Corry) touched first in the 100-yard freestyle (:50.21) and senior Jeff Harris (Gibsonia, PA/Hampton) won the 100 breaststroke (1:03.24).

Grove City will be in search of its 48th consecutive winning season Saturday when it concludes its regular season at Baldwin-Wallace.  The meet is slated for a 1:00 p.m. start.
