Grove City downs Westminster

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's tennis team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 7-2 win over longtime rival Westminster at the Grove City College Physical Learning Center.

Weather conditions forced the match to be played indoors. All six singles matches used the pro-set scoring system. The match will not count in the Presidents' Athletic Conference standings due to the modified scoring.

The teams' April 16 rematch at Westminster will count in the conference standings. Traditionally, the first meeting between two PAC schools is the match that is counted in the conference standings.

Grove City hosts Penn State Altoona Friday afternoon.
