Grove City suffers first loss

PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College men's tennis team fell to 4-1 on the 2004 season with a 7-0 loss at perennial power Carnegie Mellon Saturday morning.

Carnegie Mellon swept the six singles matches, then earned the seventh point by winning all three doubles matches.

Grove City (4-1) had won eight straight matches dating back to 2003 before Saturday's loss. The Wolverines host Thiel Monday in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
