Allegheny knocks off Grove City
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's tennis team fell to 8-3 on the season with a 5-2 loss at non-conference rival Allegheny (10-8) Wednesday afternoon.
Allegheny swept the three doubles matches, earning one point. Junior Phil Springirth (Erie, Pa./Harborcreek) and freshman Brock Thompson (Hudson, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) each earned singles victories for the Wolverines.
Grove City returns to Presidents' Athletic Conference play Thursday at Waynesburg.
