CMU tops Grove City
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's tennis team fell to 9-4 overall Thursday afternoon with a 9-0 setback against No. 15 Carnegie Mellon in non-conference action at the Grove City College Courts. Carnegie Mellon entered the match also ranked as the Atlantic South region's No. 3 team, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Grove City had won three straight matches prior to Thursday's setback. The Wolverines will return to action Friday and Saturday at the 2009 Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships at the Pennbriar Club in Erie. Grove City is in pursuit of its 19th straight league title.
