Grove City drops 7-2 decision at West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. -- The Grove City College men's tennis team opened the 2014 fall season with a 7-2 loss at NCAA Division II-member West Liberty on Wednesday afternoon at the Edgar Martin Tennis Courts.

Freshman Jon Fleet (West Chester, Pa.) contributed to both of the Wolverines' wins on the day, teaming with fellow freshman Matt Lynch (Eighty Four, Pa.) for a narrow 9-7 victory at third doubles before pulling out a three-set victory at sixth singles. The victories were the first for both Fleet and Lynch in a Grove City uniform.

The Wolverines return to action on September 22, hosting Capital at 3:30 p.m.
