Grove City sweeps Saint Vincent to open PAC play

GREENSBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's tennis team dropped just four total games in rolling to a 9-0 win over Saint Vincent in the Presidents' Athletic Conference opener for both teams at the Greensburg Racquet Club on Tuesday afternoon.

The Wolverines (1-4, 1-0 PAC) won each of their three doubles matches by identical 8-0 scores before taking all six singles matches. Senior Colby Beighey (Fombell, Pa./Riverside) shut out Scott Reichard at second singles while freshmen Matt Lynch (Eighty Four, Pa./Bentworth) and Jon Fleet (West Chester, Pa./Hendersen) also earned shutout victories at fifth and sixth singles, respectively. 

The win marks Grove City's 14th consecutive triumph in conference play.

Grove City visits Franciscan on Friday afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. non-conference match.
