Grove City men fall to West Liberty in opener

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to NCAA Division II West Liberty on Thursday afternoon at the Walters-Zbell Tennis Courts in the season-opener for both teams.

West Liberty, returning their entire lineup from a team that was an NCAA DII Regional Finalist in 2015, won all three doubles matches before claiming victory at all six singles flights.

Lightning delayed the match for 30 minutes during doubles competition.

The Wolverines (0-1) return to action on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Allegheny College Tournament.
