Grove City 7, Mount Union 2

March 25, 1999--The Grove City College men's tennis team improved to 3-0 on the season, surrendering just two matches to Mount Union College of the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Dan Barber (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) and John Aderholt (Wheeling, WV/Wheeling Park) won in straight sets at first and second singles, respectively. Brian Allan (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) prevailed at three in three.   R.C. Phinney (Geneva, OH/Geneva) dropped fourth singles in three sets.  Keith Petrie (Frederick, MD/Thomas Johnson) needed just two sets to win at five, as did Nicholas Zaph (Pittsburgh, PA/Thomas Jefferson) at six.

In doubles, Barber and Aderholt took one, Allan and Phinney fell at two and Petrie and Zaph won three.
