April 6, 1999--Grove City made short work of its first opponent since returning from Hilton Head Island, blanking visiting Geneva 9-0.

In singles, the Wolverines surrendered just three games along the way with Dan Barber (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) playing #1 (6-1, 6-1), Brian Allan (Bridgeville, PA/South Fayette) at #2 (6-0, 6-0), R.C. Phinney (Geneva, OH/Geneva) at #3 (6-0, 6-1), Keith Petrie (Frederick, MD/Thomas Johnson) at #4 (6-0, 6-0), Nick Zapf (Pittsburgh, PA/Thomas Jefferson) at #5 (6-0, 6-0) and Chris Spiker (Grove City, PA/Grove City) at #6 (forfeit).

Barber and Jered Freed (Wadsworth, OH/Tallmadge) won first doubles (8-3), Allan and Phinney took second doubles (8-1) and Zapf and Petrie won by forfeit at #3.

The Wolverines improved to 6-3 on the season.
