Wolverines roll at North Quad

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's track and field team won the Presidents' Athletic Conference North Quad Tuesday night at Geneva College as the Wolverines accumulated 261 team points. Geneva finished second with 155 and Thiel had 88 points.

Seven Grove City performers earned individual wins on the track. Freshman Tyler Ramsey (Scottdale, Pa./Southmoreland) won the 200 meters in 23.68 seconds while classmate Ryan Buchalter (Colorado Springs, Colo./Colorado Springs Christian) won the 400 in 52.31 seconds. Sophomore Josh Dunsworth (Erie, Pa./Strong Vincent) prevailed in the 800 (2:07.69).

Additionally, junior Peter Christiansen (Frederick, Md./Broadfording Christian) won the 1500 in 4:12.47 and senior Arleigh McRae (East Brookfield, Mass./Whitinsville Christian) captured the 5000 (15:38.69).

Freshman Nick Betz (Colorado Springs, Colo./Discovery Canyon) won the 110 hurdles (15.13) and senior John Green (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonier Valley) prevailed in the 400 hurdles with a time of 57.96 seconds.

Buchalter, Betz, Green and junior Ethan Witmer (North Lima, Ohio/South Range) won the 1600 relay in 3:36.30.

Grove City returns to action April 25-26 at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships in New Wilmington, Pa.
