Wolverines grab third at Allegheny

MEADVILLE, PA, September 8, 2000--Sophomore Ryan Mitchell (Centerville, OH/Centerville) turned in a team-best time of 27:52 to place ninth overall and help Grove City take third in the seven-school field at Friday's Allegheny Classic.

Mitchell finished 59 seconds behind champion Dan Princic of Allegheny, who crossed in 26:53.

Junior Josh Bolinger (Warren, OH/Lakeview) placed 11th in the 86-man pack with a time of 27:58.  Sophomore Brad Wray (Lewistown, PA/Indian Valley) and freshman Steve Brown (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Twp.) closed in 19th and 21st, respectively, in 28:30 and 28:38.

Allegheny won the meet with 45 points, followed by Case Western Reserve (50), Grove City (93), Westminster (95), Oberlin (104), Fredonia State (119) and Hiram (186).
