Wolverines take sixth at Duquesne

PITTSBURGH, PA, September 30, 2000--Grove City freshman Steve Brown (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Twp.) and sophomore Brad Wray (Lewistown, PA/Indian Valley) placed 29th and 31st, respectively, in a field of 104 runners at the Duquesne Invitational, which comprised several Division I and II schools.  

Brown finished with a time of 28:00, followed by Wray at 28:05.  Sophomores Shawn Rummel (New Bethlehem, PA/Red Bank Valley) and Ryan Mitchell (Centerville, OH/Centerville) crossed shortly after with respective times of 28:19 and 28:25, good for 33rd and 35th places overall.  

The final team standings were: 1. Malone College (20), 2. Duquesne University (39), 3. University of Dayton (87), 4. University of Pittsburgh (89), 5. Carnegie Mellon University (152), 6. Grove City (171), 7. Robert Morris (211), 8. Hiram College (233), 9. St. Bonaventure (260), 10. Point Park (301).
