Grove City runs down share of first place    

GROVE CITY, PA, October 21, 2000--The Wolverine cross country team filled places five through nine to tie for first at Grove City's three-school invitational meet on Saturday.  

Sophomore Ryan Mitchell (Centerville, OH/Centerville) paced Grove City with a fifth-place time of 28:09.91, followed by sophomore Brad Wray (Lewistown, PA/Indian Valley) in 28:15.88, freshman Steve Brown (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township) in 28:18.91, junior Josh Bolinger (Warren, OH/Lakeview) in 28:26.10 and sophomore Shawn Rummel (New Bethlehem, PA/Red Bank Valley) in 28:34.97.

Senior John Sabella (Grand Valley, PA/Tidioute) and junior Zack Groom (Cumberland, ME/Greely) took 12th and 13th, respectively, with times of 28:37.10 and 28:42.70.

Grove City and Cuyahoga Community College each finished with 35 points.  Westminster boasted the meet's champion -- junior Jacob Gleason (27:31.26) -- and closed with 58 points.
