Wolverine men take second at Allegheny Invite

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's cross country team placed second at the Allegheny College Invitational Saturday. The Wolverines tallied 62 points, trailing only host Allegheny in the 11-team field.

Ryan Mitchell (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) and Steve Brown (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township)  placed fifth and sixth, respectively, for Grove City. Mitchell finished in a time of 27:15.8 while Brown crossed in 27:25.5. Also for the Wolverines, Brad Wray (McClure, Pa./Indian Valley) was 14th in a time of 28:17.1 and Nick Gingerich (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire) took 15th in 28:18.2.

Dan Chittick (Glenside, Pa./Cheltenham) placed 24th in 28:39.8 while teammate Dan Adams (Derwood, Md./Col. Zadok Magruder) came across 25th in 28:42.9.

Allegheny won the event with 17 points, placing runners in each of the top four spots.
