Grove City places 13th at NCAA regional
SALISBURY, Md. -- The Grove City College men's cross country team placed 13th out of 34 teams at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships at Salisbury University Saturday. The Wolverine men accumulated 360 points. Elizabethtown won the championship with 45 points.
Senior Ryan Mitchell (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) led Grove City with a 35th-place finish, posting a time of 25:55.43. Steve Brown (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) claimed 55th in 26:24.45 while Brad Wray (McClure, Pa./Indian Valley) grabbed 77th in 26:51.94. Dan Adams (Derwood, Md./Col. Zaduk Magruder) finished 90th in 27:02.53 while Nick Gingerich (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire) placed 104th in the 241-runner field, crossing the finish line in 27:18.22.
Elizabethtown, Haverford and Allegheny finished in the top three team-wise, earning bids to next weekend's national championships at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn.
