Wolverines 3rd at Carnegie Mellon

PITTSBURGH -- Five Grove City runners finished in the top 25, allowing the Wolverines to finish third in the 11-team Carnegie Mellon University Invitational Saturday at Schenley Park.

Senior Steve Brown (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) led Grove City with a ninth-place finish on the five-mile course, turning in a time of 27:30. Classmate Nick Gingerich (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire) followed in 11th place in 27:55. 

Also for Grove City, junior Dan Adams (Derwood, Md./Col. Zadok Magruder) placed 17th in 28:22 while junior Chris Lee (Pompton Plains, N.J./Trinity Christian) took 18th, two seconds later. Senior Jack Anderson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) rounded out Grove City's scorers with a 22nd-place finish in a time of 28:39. 

The Wolverines will compete in the California University of Pennsylvania Invitational next Friday afternoon.
