Wolverines finish 4th at Malone Invitational

CANTON, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's cross country team finished fourth at the seven-team Malone College Invitational Friday afternoon. The Wolverines accumulated 138 team points, trailing NAIA member Malone, NCAA Division I Ohio University and NAIA Geneva.

Sophomore Andrew Kloes (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) led Grove City with a 17th-place finish in 29 minutes, 20.45 seconds. Kloes was the top NCAA Division III finisher in the race.

Junior Dan Chittick (Glenside, Pa./Cheltenham) took 25th in 29:51 while senior Chris Lee (Pompton Plains, N.J./Trinity Christian) placed 31st in 30:13.6. Sophomore Erik Johnson (Waterboro, Maine/Massabese) finished 36th (30:36.9).

Grove City returns to action next Saturday at the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational.
