Wolverines finish 4th at CMU

PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College men's cross country team took fourth out of 16 teams Saturday at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, earning 135 team points. Grove City trailed host CMU (18 points), NAIA St. Vincent (80) and Juniata (102).

Sophomore Andrew Kloes (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) led Grove City with an eighth-place finish in 27:14 while junior Dan Chittick (Glenside, Pa./Cheltenham) finished 28th in 28:36. Senior Chris Lee (Pompton Plains, N.J./Trinity Christian) followed in 29th with a time of 28:38.

Sophomore Erik Johnson (Waterboro, Maine/Massabese) placed 33rd (28:49) while sophomore Andy Leuenberger (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex) took 37th in a time of 29:04.

The Wolverines will compete in the Wilmington (Ohio) Invitational Friday afternoon.
