Grove City 7th at Wilmington Invitational

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's cross country team finished seventh at the 14-team Wilmington College Invitational Friday afternoon, earning 202 team points. Anderson (Ind.) won the event with 26 points while NAIA Shawnee State (Ohio) took second with 70 points. Grove City finished fourth among NCAA Division III schools, trailing Anderson, Otterbein and Wilmington.

Sophomore Andrew Kloes (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) led Grove City with a 14th-place finish, turning in a time of 26 minutes, 56 seconds. Junior Daniel Chittick (Glenside, Pa./Cheltenham) took 39th in 27:40 while senior Chris Lee (Pompton Plains, N.J./Trinity Christian) finished 58th in 28:22.

Also for Grove City, freshman Greg Kroleski (San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch) took 65th in 28:28 while sophomore Erik Johnson (Waterboro, Maine/Massabese) finished 68th in 28:35.

The Wolverines return to action October 30 for the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships at Bethany College.
