Grove City competes at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's cross country team competed in Lehigh University's Paul Short Invitational Friday afternoon. The Wolverines earned 36th as a team in the 40-team field as Grove City competed against numerous Division I and II squads from throughout the northeastern United States.

Overall, Grove City finished with 844 points, good for 13th among the Division III teams in attendance. Princeton won the team title with 36 points, followed by Colgate (169) and New Hampshire (181).

Senior Garrett Cichowitz (Colorado Springs, Colo./Palmer) finished 30th overall for the Wolverines with a time of 26 minutes, 9 seconds.

Freshman Arleigh McRae (East Brookfield, Mass./Whitinsville Christian) placed 167th with a 27:33 clocking, followed by classmate Alec Schultz (Wayzata, Minn./Orono) in 201st place (27:57). Freshman Mark Talbott (Tallmadge, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) finished 211th in 28:03.

Also for Grove City, sophomore Tim Coyle (Langhorne, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) came in 235th at 28:27. Sophomore Josiah Tobin (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) finished 237th (28:29) and freshman Paulson Domasky (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) placed 239th in 28:30.

Princeton's Max Kaulbach won the individual race with a time of 25:14. A total of 277 runners participated in the event.

Grove City returns to action October 16 at Oberlin College's Inter-Regional Rumble.
