Grove City earns 2nd
GIBSONIA, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's cross country team placed second out of nine teams at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines finished the meet with 59 team points. Saint Vincent won the meet with 30 team points.
Grove City placed five runners in the top 25 Saturday, led by a second-place finish from senior Arleigh McRae (East Brookfield, Mass./Whitinsville Christian). McRae completed the eight-kilometer course in a time of 25 minutes, 39.2 seconds.
McRae and freshman Dan Christiansen (Frederick, Md./Frederick) both earned First Team All-PAC recognition. Christiansen earned fifth place overall with a time of 26:30.30.
Senior Alec Schultz (Wayzata, Minn./Orono) earned Second Team All-PAC by taking 14th overall in 27:18.7.
Senior Mark Talbott (Tallmade, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) took 16th (27:21.9) while freshman Gabe Imhof (Strasburg, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) finished 24th in a time of 27:45.4.
Freshman Brandon Wise (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) crossed in 27th place (27:51.9) and senior Matt Logie (West Chester, Pa./Delaware County Christian) earned 31st in a time of 28:06.7.
Saint Vincent's Chansler Poole won the individual race with a time of 25:15.6.
Grove City will compete in the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships November 16 at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
