Wolverines compete in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Grove City College men's cross country team placed 13th out of 34 teams in the silver division of the Greater Louisville Classic, held Saturday afternoon at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. The Wolverines finished with 353 team points. The Indiana University Running Club won the meet title with 56 points.

Junior Daniel Christiansen (Frederick, Md./Frederick) led Grove City by placing seventh with a time of 26 minutes, 6.54 seconds for eight kilometers. Junior Brandon Wise (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) took 67th in 27:36.02 while senior Josh Dunsworth (Erie, Pa./Strong Vincent) placed 94th in 28:03.79.

Junior Gabe Imhof (Strasburg, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) took 98th in 28:05.81 and freshman Ryan Budnik (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) rounded out the Wolverine scorers by finishing 116th in 28:20.20.

Spencer Head of Dalton State (Ga.) won the race in 25:10.34.

Grove City returns to action October 17 at the Gettysburg Invitational.
