Wolverines Take Second At 13-School Invite



WOOSTER, OH, September 25, 1999--The Grove City College men's cross country team placed second out of 13 schools at the College of Wooster Invitational on Saturday.  Wooster won the meet with 59 points, 10 fewer than Grove City, who finished with 69.

The Wolverines placed ahead of Baldwin-Wallace (81), Otterbein (97), Oberlin (171), Case Western (177), Muskingum (203), Penn State Behrend (212), Cuyahoga Community (237), Gannon (277), John Carroll (289), Hiram (307) and Denison (348).

Ryan Mitchell (Centerville, OH/Centerville) ran a team-best 28:05 to finish in sixth place in the 147-man field.  Tim Sabella (Tidioute, PA/Tidioute) took 11th overall in 28:19 and John Sabella (Tidioute, PA/Tidioute) finished 15th in 28:28.

Four other Wolverines finished in the top 40: Josh Bolinger (Warren, OH/Lakeview), 18th, 28:31; Matt Streit (Wooster, OH/Wooster), 19th, 28:32; Brian Suttle (Apple Creek, OH/Waynedale), 25th, 28:50; and Justin Drab (North East, PA/North East), 39th, 29:25.
