Moment 10: Roberts concludes career with win #750 in volleyball's return to postseason

Prior to the 2013-14 academic year, 29th-year head volleyball coach Susan Roberts announced that the 2013 season would be her last at the helm of the Wolverines.

Thirty matches later, it was fitting that the Grove City volleyball team would return to the postseason for the first time in 12 years, as the Wolverines received a berth to the ECAC DIII Southwest Championships.

After dropping their opening match of the tournament to Marymount, Grove City swept McDaniel (25-23, 25-20, 25-22) in the consolation match behind 11 kills from senior Tierza Rangel to give Roberts her 750th overall win at Grove City College.

Along with a 583-424 record as volleyball coach, Roberts also posted a 101-78 record as women's basketball coach and a 66-48 record as softball coach, standing as the only active coach during the 2013-14 year to have won Presidents' Athletic Conference titles in three different sports.

Including her two seasons at King (Tenn.), Roberts accumulated 635 volleyball coaching wins, ranking her 16th in NCAA Division III history at the conclusion of her career. In 36 total years as a head coach, she posted 877 total coaching victories in four different sports.
