Moment 18: Bilko, 800 Free Relay earn All-America honors at NCAA Championships

The Grove City College women's swimming and diving headed into the 2014 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships with high expectations, and as has become custom, the Wolverines didn't diasppoint, bringing home three individual All-America honors and one in the 800-yard freestyle relay.

Sophomore sensation Megan Bilko got the Wolverines off to a strong start in night one by earning the first of her three individual All-America honors at the Championships. The 15th-seed in the 500-yard freestyle, Bilko would break her own school record by more than three seconds to finish 12th in the event with a 4:55.31.

Bilko followed her Wednesday performance by taking 14th in the 400-yard individual medley on Thursday night to earn her second All-America honor of the meet.

On Friday, juniors Tori Baker and Lauren Cassano, as well as freshman Abby Jank, joined in on the fun, teaming with Bilko to finish 14th in the 800-yard freestyle relay in 7:37.80 and earn All-America status.

Baker and Cassano each earned their third career All-America honor while Jank earned her first.

Bilko concluded the week on Saturday by making it a perfect four-for-four in her events, finishing ninth in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:01.13, breaking her own school record by more than seven seconds. With that, Bilko earned her fourth All-America honor of the meet and the fifth of her career.
