GROVE CITY, PA, March 24, 2000--Sophomore Erica Exler (Cheswick, PA/Springdale) hurled the first perfect game in Geneva College softball history as the Golden Tornadoes swept a pair from host Grove City College Friday afternoon, winning the first game 8-0 and the nightcap 5-1.

Exler (6-0) struck out four over seven innings and retired the other 17 with 10 fly balls and seven grounders.

Exler's freshman sister Erin opened the second game by retiring the first 12 Lady Wolverine batters before Lisa Colletti (Richboro, PA/Council Rock) led off the fifth with a single.  In the sixth, Nicole Hable (Shoreview, MN/Totino-Grace) tripled in Jamie Batchelor (Lebanon, PA/Ann-Cleona), who reached on a walk, to account for the lone Grove City run of the day.

Geneva improved to 11-1 on the season, while the Lady Wolverines fell to 1-3.
