GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College softball team split a home doubleheader with Saint Vincent Saturday afternoon at College Field in a matchup of Presidents' Athletic Conference foes. Grove City grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first inning as Young reach on a hit batsman and eventually scored on a run-scoring single from freshman Lauren Pennell (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley). Saint Vincent took a 2-1 lead in the third but the Wolverines (7-21) reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the fourth as sophomore DH Cassie Narbe (Orchard Park, N.Y./Christian Central) singled home freshman pinch runner Emma Holdrich (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman).
