Grove City stays hot in sweep over W&J 

GROVE CITY, PA, September 26, 2000--Junior Julie Porter (Medina, OH/Highland) recorded a team-high 13 kills and 11 digs as the Lady Wolverine volleyball team needed just three games to defeat the four-time defending Presidents' Athletic Conference champion, 15-9, 15-10, 15-4.  

Grove City improved to 9-6 overall with its fifth straight victory and upped its league record to 3-0, while visiting Washington & Jefferson fell to 5-13 overall, 1-2 in the PAC. 

Junior Sarah Gardner (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) registered 11 kills and three of the team's 13 serving aces on the night.  Sophomore Cara Denniston (Grove City, PA/Grove City) was credited with 40 assists and fives aces, giving her a conference-high 54 on the year.
